Donald Heinze Brodersen

October 16, 1931 – February 13, 2022

Donald Heinze Brodersen aka “Grandpa” was born October 16th, 1931 on his family farm near Arlington, Washington to Henry Brodersen and Anna Rose Kraetz Brodersen he was 1 of 8 children. 
Donald grew up on that same farm and graduated in 1951 from Arlington High School, he lettered in track and was an avid member of FFA. He then joined the Armed Service November 17th, 1952 serving as an MP for 2 years before transferring to the reserves until 1960 when he received an Honorable discharge. 
That same year of 1960 he met the love of his life Vera M. Zackuse at a cafe in Marysville Wa. Soon after they moved to Smith Island where Don worked full time on the Island until he gained employment at Weyerhaeuser where he retired serving 20 years. 
Don and Vera resided at Smith Island for 13 years and in 1973 they bought a 5 acre track in Tulalip, Wa. now known as the Zackuse Compound where they continued to raise their growing family. 
Throughout the years to follow Donald enjoyed his life of raising numerous children spending time with Nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Great-great grandchildren. 
The life of Razor Clam digging, farming, gardening, traveling to all the kids sporting events and camping were some of his fondest memories. 
Donald worked his entire life and was committed to everything he did, passing down that teaching to his future generations. 
Donald went on his Journey on February 13th, 2022 at 4:37 p.m. in the same home he had lived in for nearly 50 years, surrounded by the love and strength of his family. 
He is survived by siblings Rose Mary Ford, Bill Brodersen, Roger Brodersen and Debbie Brodersen. Children Morris Zackuse, Mitch (Karen) Zackuse, Brenda Zackuse (Richard), Leona Zackuse and Elishia Stewart. Grandchildren Jimmy Zackuse, Tory Chuckulnaskit (Kris), Shiloh Zackuse, Mitchell Zackuse, Tristin Zackuse, Nicole Zackuse (Michael), Joe Zackuse (Annie), Shawneen Zackuse (Doug), Heidi Fryberg (Marlin), Michael Addie, Leona Addie, Kimberly Addie, Juan Gonzalez, Kiana Hernandez and TyReece Hernandez. Great-Grandchildren Cheryl Mae Chuckulnaskit, Kristy Chuckulnaskit, Jalen Chuckulnaskit, Wesley Zackuse, Shaughnessey Zackuse, Elyssa Zackuse, Shylah Zackuse, Ryelon Zackuse, Deven Zackuse, Kecia’Ann Zackuse, Makayla Zackuse-Moseley, Chayce Zackuse-Moseley, Ryleigh Zackuse-Moseley, Ashlee Salinas, Cullen Zackuse, Hallie Zackuse, Aubrey Zackuse, Mekiah Phillips, Logan Fryberg, Leighton Mitchell Fryberg, Ellie Rose Fryberg, Zane Addie, Sophia Romero, Julio Romero, and Jayden Romero. Great-great grandchildren Waylin Zackuse #5, Kaliyah Chuckulnaskit. Special outlaws Doug Salinas, Marlin Fryberg, and Annie Zackuse. Special nieces Linda Hill, Kathy Williams, Sheryl Fryberg, Verna Hill, Candy Hill-Wells, Special Nephew Charles Hill, extended family and his dog Precious aka “Stinky”.

Preceded in death by Vera Zackuse the love of his life, parents Henry and Rose Brodersen, Brothers Lawrence Brodersen, Ralph Brodersen and Sister Louise Brodersen.

Bonnie Lou Jones-Onefeather

July 31, 1959 – February 9, 2022

Bonnie Lou Jones-Onefeather, (62) who was known to everyone as “Bon Bon” passed on February 9th 2022. She was born to William Lawrence Jones Sr. and Etta Frances Jones in Everett, Washington on July 31, 1959.


Her spirit was strong, her light burned bright, her beautiful contagious smile radiated through to everyone that she knew.

She enjoyed fishing and cooking on the beach with her dad and extended family, going to bingo, doing arts and crafts, spending time with her kids and grandkids as well as stopping to enjoy the flowers. Always had goodness in her heart, her joyous energy was seen by all. She got her GED from Everett Community College in 1979. Afterwards she worked for the bingo-hall. Then she enjoyed being a stay at home mom. Despite all odds of mom being in a wheelchair and all of her kids telling her no, she was determined to prove all of them wrong.
She is survived by the love of her life Dan Follestad, her children Jamie (Jesse) Guzman, Jimmy Jones, Samora (Chris) Joseph, Lenetta (John) Rivera, and Bonnie “Punkin” Follestad , siblings brother Kirk (Bonnie) Jones, sisters Diann Akana, Rita (Dana) Matta, Virginia Nancy McClellan, Valerie Matta and Georgia Jones, grandchildren Jesslynn, Brielle, Jesse II, Marcello, Chelsea, Eternity, Natalie, James, Jimya, Daylen, Summer, Jimmy, Violet, Alexis, Matilda, Makena, Amelia, Christopher, Stella, Rozlynn, Rockell, Raylynn, John Boy, Krysta and Myliana, great-grandchildren Christian II and Carter. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


Preceded in death by her Grandparents Ma and Pa Jones, parents Etta Frances Jones and William Lawrence Jones Sr, siblings Juanita Jones-Morales, Dale “Buck” Jones, Peggy Sue Shopbell, William “Bj” Lawrence Jones and baby Keith Jones.

Brian Angelo Bill

October 2, 1963 – December 24, 2021

Butter was born on October 2nd, 1963 in Bellingham, Washington to Joseph D. Bill and Geraldine Bill. Brian went to Ferndale and then, Chemawa Indian school Salem, OR. where he graduated. He played football, baseball and basketball. He also, coached the football team. He was a fancy dancer. He sang with the Eagle Mountain singers. He was a fisherman and sained with the fisherman’s in Bellingham and Alaska. He worked at Trident seafoods. He also, worked for the Tulalip Utilities for 15 years and became a supervisor. He loved Boom city. He worked with Dizzy and soon became a stand owner, known as “Rolling Thunder”. 
Butter was well respected throughout Indian country in United States and Canada. He was a leader in the Smokehouse. He leaves behind his BH family and BH children. 
He leaves behind the love of his life of 30 years Stephanie Williams. His daughters Chelsie and Jesilyn Bill. His son’s he took in as his own Alex, Michael Jimenez and Jordan Solomon. 
He leaves behind his sister’s Inez Bill, Jolene Bill and Kristy Bill-Solomon.
Proceeded in death by his beloved parents Joseph A. Bill of Lummi, Geraldine Bill of Tulalip (Tom). Brother: Joseph A. Bill. Sisters: Donna J. Houle, Kathy G. Bill, Miriam J. Bill. Nieces: Margianne Solomon and Chenoeh Bill. Nephew: Joe-Joe Bill. Grand neice: Donna L. Bill-Tom.

A celebration of his life will be held Monday, January 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Tulalip Gathering Hall with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.

Cornelius Clinton “Neil” Green Jr.

January 8, 1961 – December 23, 2021

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Cornelius “Neil” Clinton Green Jr. of Tulalip on December 23rd, 2021, at the age of 60 years. Neil was born on January 8, 1961, in Darrington Washington. 

He is survived by his Spouse Becky Green of Tulalip; Father Cornelius (Neil) Green Sr. of Darrington; Mother Eleanor Nielsen and husband Eddy, Sister Linda Aranda (Carlton), Brother Brad Green all of Tulalip; Sister Nina Reece, of Arlington; Sister Teresa Meece (Richard), of Darrington; His Son Brian Green (Kari) of Tulalip; his Son Joshua Geithman of Twisp; his Daughter Kirsten Moore-Green of Everett; his Daughter Brianna (Chris) of Japan and Alivia Moore-Green of Marysville. Stepchildren Anthony, James, Darin & Kaitlyn. The lights of his life grandchildren Ciara, Brennan, Savannah, Cayden, Chloe, Blake, Scarlett, Blair, and his great grandson Bentley. Step-grandchildren Brantley and Kalleigh. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and tons of cousins.

Neil is reunited in Heaven with his Brother David Hunter, Sister RoseAnn Green, Nephew James Michael Emhoolah, Maternal Grandparents, Bernice Sheldon Williams and John Miller, and Paternal Grandparents Roy and Maggie Green.

After Graduating from Darrington High School Neil went into the Army National Guard for 6 years. He worked in the Logging industry in Darrington and Hoquiam. Neil also spent some time working at Hewlett Packard and Boeing. It was time for an adventure, so Neil went to Eastern Montana and North Dakota to work in the oil rigs. He came back home and started his own landscaping business with his best Friend Mike Terhaar and then started working at the Tulalip Resort Casino as the Facilities Director. 

Neil spent his entire life hunting and proudly displayed his trophy elk and deer. When he wasn’t hunting, he loved being outdoors anywhere with his faithful companion Miss May. He could always be found at one of the beaches of Tulalip, and he loved a good fire side chat. Neil dared to live life to the fullest and enjoyed the finer things in life but most of all he loved his children. He was very charming and Charismatic, and everyone loved him especially the love of his life his wife Becky who was always by his side. 

If you knew Neil, you loved him including his Elvis impersonation and his yearly polar bear plunges! He will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed by his family and friends. 
A funeral service and dinner for Neil will be held Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at the Tulalip Gathering Hall at 10:00AM, despite the snow.7512 totem Beach Rd, Tulalip, WA 98271.

Marjorie Nora Baker

 July 9, 1945 – December 11, 2021

Marjorie Nora Baker was born on July 9th, 1945 to Jack & Isabelle Myers. She enter into rest on December 11th, 2021. Marge was a member of the Tulalip Tribes. She lived her whole life on the Tulalip Indian Reservation. She loved going to Value Village, Goodwill, hitting up the yard sales, and playing bingo and slots. She liked cooking, trying new recipes, and teaching her kids and grandkids how to cook. She will be remembered for her goofy contagious laugh and the many teaching that she had passed on to her kids and grandkids. She will also be remembered for taking care of her grandchildren and many other family members.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Isabelle and Jack Myers, her daughter Patricia Baker, her brothers Robert Myers Sr. & Fred Myers Sr., Sister in-law Marlene Myers and her nephew Loren Martin. She is survived by her daughter Christy Baker, her sisters Kathy Craft (Mike) and Jeanne McClean, nephews Fred Myers and Beau Craft, grandchildren Leslie Anderson, Jay Anderson, Tisha McClean (Bill), Kali Johnson, and Troyleen Johnson, great grand children Kyrell Anderson, Tiffany Anderson, J.J Anderson, James F. Anderson, Tieriana McClean, Audrielle McClean, William McClean IV, Sariah McClean, and Brinleigh McClean. She also leaves behind numerous family members and bingo friends.

“BINGO” Visitation will be held Thursday December 16th, 2021 at the Tulalip Gathering Hall with the burial following at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Randy Lee Rodgers

October 9, 1968 – December 3, 2021

Randy, 53, was born on October 9, 1968, in Vancouver, WA, and passed away December 3, 2021, in Tulalip, WA. He was the only child of Clara and Stanley Abbott, of Vancouver, WA. Randy married Anita Pacheco, October 15, 1999, in Everett, WA. They have been married for 22 years. Randy was a father-figure to Anita’s 3 sons, Joseph Lee Henry, Vincent Gene Henry, and Richard Lee Henry II, and a grandfather-figure to Joseph Hatch, Brandon Hatch, Jerry Jones, Dustin Henry, Taylor Henry, Anthony Henry, and Jasmin Henry, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Randy worked in an iron foundry in Portland, OR, and his work contributed to parts for airplanes and trains. He also worked in construction during the building of the Tulalip Resort Casino in 2002. Randy was a very laid-back, easy-going guy, who loved tinkering with things. He shared his tinkering skills with his grandchildren by putting bikes together, fixing and painting them. He loved to problem solve/invent/create/innovate new ways to use everyday items, in attempts to make life simpler in some way. He loved to go on outings with his wife & sons, doing a variety of things, such as singing karaoke and playing pool together; visiting nearby casinos; searching for vintage treasures at local thrift stores and garage sales; taking road trips; camping and fishing with the family; and caring for their family pets throughout their years together. He loved playing guitar, listening and singing to classic rock-n-roll and country music. He will be greatly missed.

Christian Gabriel Foster

Christian Gabriel Foster was born July 5, 1996 to James Foster and Debra Barto in Everett, Washington. He went to be with the Lord and his Mom, on November 20, 2021. Christian was a member of the Tulalip Tribes and Klamath, Modoc, Paiute – Yahooksin Band of Snake Indians. He lived on the Tulalip Reservation his entire life.

Christian loved spending time with his family and friends and always seen the best in people. He always had a positive outlook on life. He influenced and inspired many others to keep trying and never give up. He had a loving, carefree and kind soul. Christian loved being an uncle and his nieces and nephews adored and looked up to him. He was always happy with a huge smile and had contagious vibes that made everyone around him bee better. Christian was adventurous at very a young age. He had no fear when it came to trying something new. He learned how to ride a bike without training wheels when he was only two years old. Christian became interested in skateboarding and it grew into a passion that continued into adulthood. He traveled to many skate parks up and down the West Coast. His skills in skateboarding and snowboarding were natural to him. Some of his favorite times were when he was outdoors traveling at the river and gaming “Fort Nite & Chill”.. Christian loved animals and his culture. He loved all music, especially bumpin’ Mac Dre and Christian “Triz” walking. He was so humorous, always ready for a good laugh. He found peace and comfort in chasing sunsets. Bee Strong, Bee Love, Bee Kind, Bee Compassionate – Christian Gabriel Foster, we will always bee missing you.

Christian is survived by his Dad, James Foster; Grandmothers, Nadene Foster and Linda Hill; Siblings Heather (Kris), Shane, Travis, Rayvin (Jessica), Clara (Juan); Nephews and nieces, Cory, Keegan, Jazmyn, Tahlia, Makenna, Kyleal and Immanuel; the Love of his life, Keryn Parks and also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Barto; Grandfathers, Robert Barto and Patrick “Pat the Cat” Foster; Uncle Ambrose Foster; Cousin, Gia Foster.

Reuben Reeves

June 21, 1963 – October 15, 2021

Reuben Reeves was born June 21, 1963 and greeted by our Creator and ancestors on October 15, 2021.
In his early career he worked as a poker dealer. He was a lifelong fisherman, hung net for all, enjoyed wood cutting and delivering it to the smokehouse and elders. He was a mechanic for boats, autos, and heavy equipment. Reuben loved working at Boom City during the summer and running concession stands with his “Indian BBQ”. Reuben shared all his teaching with his grandson Wakiza, who he treated like his son. 

Reuben a loving father, brother, grandfather, and dear friend, was joined on the next part of his journey by his father, Bernard Williams Jr.; mother Esther Reeves; grandparents Thomas A. Reeves and Vivian E. (Babe) Shelton Reeves; sister, Ellen Rose Reeves; uncles, George A. Reeves Sr., Conrad C. (Gubber) Reeves Sr. and Willard Reeves; and Aunts, Wilma Reeves, Frances I. Reeves Contraro, Lila B. Reeves Henry. Mother of his children Luwanna Brewster and daughter Rachel Brewster.

He leaves behind his loving family, brother Lyle W. Reeves, daughters Chandra L. Reeves and Teah M. Reeves. Son David Brewster. Siblings Rose, Francis, JoAnn. Grandchildren Aleesia, Wakiza (Kaylee), Teallah, Jamora, Florence, Eliki, Eliana, Jaidiah, Mercy, Amelia, and great-granddaughter on the way. He loved spending time with his family and grandbabies, he went to see them every day. He will be missed by many.

Amias Lionheart Calloway

June 21, 2021 – October 11, 2021

Amias Lionheart Calloway, 3 months 19 days passed away peacefully on October 11th, 2021 in Everett, WA. He was born on June 21st, 2021 in Mount Vernon, WA.

He is survived by his mother; Shyla Lynne Calloway, father; Aaron Justin Calloway, sister; Shahayla Waffle(20), brothers; Carmine Cultee (7), Eyani Calloway (3), Cedar Calloway (2), maternal grandmother; Yvonne Dziubak, paternal grandfather; Max McGee, maternal great grandmother; Tina Meeker, maternal great grandfather; Randall Isaksson, Mammy; Becky Reaves, Aunt; Stephine Woodward, Uncle; Jeremiah Isakasson, Uncle; Jacob Cultee, Uncle; Jonathan Cultee Imholt, Aunt; Rachay Imholt, Aunt; Ashley Imholt, Uncle; Skyler Imholt, Aunt; Megan McGee, Aunt; Courtney Banks, Uncle; Steven McMahon, Aunt; Angie Ancheta, Aunt; Rachel Shepard, Aunt; Laura Reyes, Aunt; Isabelle Brennan. A visitation will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.

Kyle Williams

October 16, 1986 – February 26, 2020

Kyle was born into this world to Janice & Keith at the University of Washington Hospital, Kyle passed peacefully in the care of Queens Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii where Kyle, like his beloved mother always enjoyed to travel together. It was their second home, and Kyle enjoyed living his life there.

Kyle was charming, beautiful in kindness, in helping others, in bonding friendships and was a joy to all that knew him. From birth, Kyle was a ‘Brave Warrior’, in fighting many challenges of Life. Being born with Spina Bifida, he had many health challenges he faced in life, but that didn’t deter him for who he was and what he believed in. In his youth, along with his Big-Brother Bruce, we enjoyed many special memories of representing Marysville Special Olympics. Kyle loved swimming in which he won State Gold Medal.

As a graduate, class of 2005 Marysville-Pilchuck. Kyle, along with fellow classmates, friends, honored, protected the true essence of Native cultural beliefs and shared his culture to anyone that was willing. Kyle, along with his brother Bruce, always enjoyed being at and helping out at the Tulalip Boys & Girls Club, and working and helping out at the family owned Carr’s Hardware and with his beloved mother at Orca Travel.

Kyles other passion was his love of the sea where he loved to commercial fish with his father when plenty of Sockeye & Chum, Salmon caught. Season’s that were once were and beautiful memories of the Canoe Journey’s he participated.

On behalf of the Scott/Williams Family we wish to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Native Liaisons, Teachers, Staff that were a big part of his life and his care.
