Dylan Lee Miller (1994 – 2017)

Oct. 31, 1994 – Oct. 23, 2017 Dylan Lee Miller entered into this world on October 31, 1994 and entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2017. Dylan was a Tulalip Tribal Member and grew up in Tulalip, WA. He also spent a few years in Lynden, WA. Dylan loved and excelled in sports, playing baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and football. Dylan leaves behind his momma, Gail Miller (Brian Russell) of Marysville, WA; father, Terry Miller (Milly) of Las Vegas, NV; his brothers, Carmen Miller (Heidi Newell) of Tulalip and Rocco Miller (Pauline) of San Francisco, CA; and grandfathers, Bill Lewis of Tulalip and Ed Miller of Bothell, WA; and uncles, aunts, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Louise Sheldon Ledford; papa, Robert F. Brown; grandma, Benita L. Brown Lewis; and grandma, Madeline Allen. An interfaith service will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Audrey P. Beck (1965 – 2017)

Audrey Paulette Beck Audrey Paulette Beck born on July 8, 1965, in Everett, WA, passed away on September 30, 2017. She was raised by her parents, George, Barbara (Alex), Donald and Barbara Rasberry. Audrey loved going to the casino, going for long drives, and commercial fishing. But most of all she loved spending time with her grandbabies. She is survived by her daughters, Misty Craig and Samantha Craig; nine grand-children; sisters Leah, Charmaine, and Carmen; brother, George Craig III; as well as several other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Michael O’Man, and sibling, Hazel Craig. Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. Interfaith service was at the Tulalip Gym. Funeral Services were held on October 5, 2017, at the Tulalip Gym with burial following at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Rockwell Baker Jr. (1939 – 2017)

Rockwell “Rocky” Baker Jr. Rockwell “Rocky” Baker Jr., 77 of Tulalip, WA, passed away September 28, 2017. Rocky was born to Rockwell Baker and Hazel Baker on December 9, 1939, in Monroe, WA. Rocky worked in construction and was logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, and clam digging. He is survived by his children, Christy Baker, Mary Johnson, Cameron Craig, Rockwell “Rocky” Patrick and Mel “Doc” Adams; siblings, Gary Baker, Pat Bogart, and Carolyn Nedrow; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Rocky was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Baker; his parents; his brother; and granddaughter, Chantel Craig. A celebration of Rocky’s life will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Phillip Jesse Cheer (1964 – 2017)

Sunrise February 16, 1964 Sunset September 25, 2017 Phillip Jesse Cheer was born in Everett, WA, to Arnold and Barbara Cheer Sr. He is a member of the Tulalip Tribes. He lived in Tulalip, WA, all his life. He worked as a Commercial Fisherman and Crabber. He was the Head cook for the Tulalip 1910 Shaker Church. He loved to hunt, cook, and spend time with family and friends. He was a great jokester. He loved to celebrate HALLOWEEN. He leaves behind his siblings, Marie Cheer and Gordon “Flash” Cheer; aunties, Charlene Williams, Clarice Moses, Janice Moses, and Annabell; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and special friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Barbara Cheer Sr.; siblings, Arnold Cheer Jr., Stanley Cheer Sr., Patrick Cheer and Barbara Reeves; grandparents, Francis Lewis, Bertha Paul, Harry Moses and Jessie Moses; uncle, Cecil Louis; nephews, Conrad Reeves Jr., Stanley Cheer Jr., Kevin Cheer and niece,ChianneEnick. LEE-TE-Ahwit Krystal RayAnne Cooper (1992 – 2017)

LEE-TE-Ahwit Krystal RayAnne Cooper aka Luvy Krystal was born to Pamela and Douglas Cooper on January 28, 1992. Ahe was a Lifetime resident of Tulalip, WA. She is survived by her mother and father; brothers, Codeey Billy Johnny, Kayden Johnny and sisters, Kesha and KaylishiousBoome; grandparents, Jan and Willie Cooper, Clarissa Johnny; uncles, Merle and Albert Johnny, Aunty Edith and Robe Cooper; grand-uncles and aunties, Rozelda Roberts, Shar Roberts, Sandra and Pete Joseph, Smoky and Leah Roberts. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Albert Johnny Sr., and aunties, Alfreda and Alberta Johnny. Services will be Monday, September 11, 2017. Leaving Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home at 3 p.m., proceeding to 8125 Reuben Shelton Drive one last time. We will be leaving the home on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 9 a.m. to Greg Williams Gym for 1910 Indian Shaker Church service at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Michael Rae Sheldon (1952 – 2017)

Michael Rae Sheldon, 64 of Tulalip, WA, passed away August 28, 2017, four months from his 65th birthday. He was born December 28, 1952, in Everett, WA, to Melvin R. and Nola Sheldon. Mike grew up his early years in Tulalip before moving to Skagit County where he graduated from Burlington Edison High School. He attended Washington State University and completed his BA degree from Antioch University in 1996. Mike began his fishing career in 1973 working as a crew member on a Purse Seiner in Alaska. After the Bolt decision he transitioned to a gill netter. Mike owned and operated the “old Salty” for many years. Mike was a man of many trades but his true love was fishing. He met Kathy in 1986 and they married in 1996. Mike was a proud member of the Tulalip Tribes and he loved to do native art. Mike is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Kandida Jones; two grandchildren Tyler and Kayla; siblings, Mel Sheldon, Toni Sheldon, Tina (Jim) Dillon, Nola “Jr” Two Feathers; his aunt, Marlene Petersen; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Dillon Michael Sheldon. Services will be held Friday, September 8, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman.

Etta Frances Jones (1931 – 2017)

Etta Frances Jones, 85 of Tulalip, WA, passed away August 20, 2017, in Everett, WA. She was born September 2, 1931, in Everett to George Craig Sr and Delia Jimicum. Etta was a Pow Wow Vender and collected jewelry. She was active on the Pow Wow trail. She was very active in her community being at almost every event. She was very generous. Etta graduated with an Associates Degree from Northwest Indian College. She is survived by her children, William L. “B.J.” Jones Jr., Rita (Dana) Matta, Virginia Nancy McClellean, Valerie Matta, Kirk (Bonnie Lancaster-Jones) Jones, Bonnie Jones, Georgia Bridges; sister, Darlene Grayloe; 49 grandchildren; 101 plus great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Jones; Dave Brown; children: Juanita Jones-Morales, Dale “Buck” Jones, Peggy Sue Shopbell; and baby Keith Jones. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the Tulalip Gym with an interfaith service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym with burial following at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Brenda Lyle

Dec. 1, 1965 – August 10, 2017 Brenda Lyle, 51, of Tulalip, WA was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away early in the morning on August 10, 2017. She was born December 1, 1965 in Everett, WA to Willis and Marcella (Williams) Lyle. Brenda loved camping, road trips, concerts, traveling with the Tulalip seniors, doing arts and crafts, she loved her berries, her favorite thing was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She is survived by her Mate, Daniel Jones; children, Sandy (Jeremy), Joe Myers Jr., Teresah Danielson, Frank Madison, William Madison, Sandy Sue Madison; grandchildren, Jaley, Marissa, Makaila, Gabriel, Desmond, Shiloh and Vatta; sisters, Pamela Peters, Lisa Lyle and Tina Lyle; brothers, Jeff (Kathy) Lyle, Mark (Sherry); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend Alvie McCollum. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Galen, Keith, Trevor, Vincent and stepbrother, James Price; and grandchild, Deliah. Wayne Warren Williams (1928 – 2017)

Wayne Warren Williams, 89, of Tulalip, WA, passed away August 2, 2017. He was born May 10, 1928, in Everett, Washington to Francis and Harriette Williams. He serviced in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Wayne worked on the ferry boats for the Black Ball Line; he worked for Boeing; and for 40 years for the Tulalip Tribes, holding several positions such he was the manager for the Tulalip Tribes and the first general manager for Bingo. Wayne served one term on the Tulalip Board of Directors. Wayne had a keen business sense and was very helpful in getting the Tulalip Casino built. Wayne was widely respected in the Northwest and his advice was much sought after. Yet Wayne’s favorite job was being a grandfather. Wayne is survived by his children, Brian (Corinna) Williams, and Darryl (Julie Russell) Williams; grandsons, Joseph and Jordan Williams; and cousins, Roberta Skoog and Blanche James; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday, August 7, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman with an Interfaith service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Tulalip Gym. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Donna Louise Bill-Tom (1995 – 2017)

June 7, 1995 – July 30, 2017 It is with great sadness that we have lost our beloved Donna Louise Bill-Tom, 22, of Tulalip, WA, who passed away July 30, 2017. She was born June 7, 1995 in Bellingham, WA to Jerome and Margiann (Solomon) Tom. She grew up in Tulalip. Donna was eager and willing to learn to make things by hand, such as shawl making, crocheting, beading, weaving cedar and wool. She was learning to cook for gatherings. She was never hesitant to follow her families’ traditions. Donna loved Stick Games. Donna is survived by grandmother, Jolene Bill of Tulalip; great-grandmother, Geraldine Bill of Tulalip; three sisters, Marsha Solomon, Lauralee Bill-Tom, and Sarah Ann Solomon all of Tulalip; four brothers, Jerome Tom Jr, Jesse Tom, Ray Tom and Lawrence Tom of Lummi, WA. She is also survived by numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Donna had a very special friend in spirit, Albert Young Jr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margiann (Solomon) Tom; aunties, Kathleen Bill, Miriam Bill of Tulalip; uncle, Joseph Bill of Lummi; great grandfather, Joseph Bill of Lummi; grandfather, Richard J. Solomon of Lummi. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman with an Interfaith service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Tulalip Gym.
