Scheiyenne Lane was born on June 19, 1993 in Everett, Washington to Galen and Regina (Zackuse) Lane and returned to the creator on July 4, 2019. 

Scheiyenne, an enrolled member of Tulalip Tribes, lived all of his life in Tulalip, Attended Tulalip and Marysville Schools, graduated in 2011. At the age of 4 Scheiyenne started playing basketball at the Everett Boys & Girls Club. He also enjoyed playing little league baseball, worked summer youth and had an opportunity to work at the Tulalip Resort Casino in the buffet restaurant in which he enjoyed working with the chefs there. He also worked with Tulalip Housing Maintenance mowing lawns. “Schei”, “Ton Ton”, “Double T” or “Bo Boy” were the nicknames his loved ones called him. His most favorite past times were playing video games, x-box, grand theft auto, call of duty, Halo, Mario, and also loved skateboarding, snowboard-ing, and surf boarding, roller blading, speed skating, listening to all his favorite music, swimming, traveling to Hawaii with his mom, dad, and sisters, Sheniece and Temryss. And travelled to Puerto Rico with brother, Dakotah and sister-in-law, Jessie. He was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews, Luz, Koda, Solana, and Isis Rose. Above all else Scheiyenne loved and cherished time purse seine fishing with his dad. Also loved growing up and hanging with his cousins, Breland and Shylee. Scheiyenne was a very giving, selfless, loving person. He wore his heart on his sleeve, he was a gentle spirit. He was quick to uplift people even if he was suffering himself. He had a very infectious, contagious laugh! He always wanted to lighten people’s spirits, we will miss him forever!!

Preceded in death by Grandparents, Vernon and Nancy Lane, Great Grandparents, Harold (SLO-Jo) Joseph and Loretta James, and Pauline Comenote, Aunt Joanne Lane, and Cousin Michael Lee Joseph. 

Visitation will be held Monday, July 15, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home with a Rosary service to follow at 6:00 pm at the Tulalip Gym. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

“UNAHOY” Bernard Michael Williams III Sunrise – June 15, 1971 Sunset – July 5, 2019 Bernie leaves behind his mother, Judi Patrick; siblings, Francis (Karlene), JoAnn (Landry), Rose Buck, Rueben Reeves, and Marvin Edwards, including aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He loved his family, especially his grandkids, Preceded in death by his father, Bernard Williams, Jr., his sister, Clarissa Williams, and daughter, Melodie Williams. He loved music and taking drives, he was lead singer for the Spee-Bi-Dah singers, traveling to pow wows, driving to different states. He worked at the Tulalip Casino, dealing Craps and making life-long friends that became a second family. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan – that was his team. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 9:00 am at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Michael Anthony Brown III Our beloved Angel Warrior, Sunrise December 5, 2006 passed away April 7, 2019 with his loving parents by his side, Bridget and Nate Brown. He was a Tulalip Tribal Member, raised on the reservation, attended Totem Middle School, very proud to be in 6th grade. His big heart for his family and friends shined through his beautiful eyes, always followed that shine with a big smile. His great sense of humor and humble love with endless happiness, never let anyone go without “I love you” a hug, a kiss or even a knuckle bump. A special place in his heart “treasure chest” he kept his siblings, Mikhaio and Miniyah. He loved travelling, mountains, camping, holidays and birthdays with family, which always included random dancing at any moment. Bringing joy to everyone, something he set as a goal, he set goals and finished all with positivity. Gaming #1, Fortnite and GTA shout out: ninjamonkey6572, riding his quad and scooter, onto family swim, “Waterbaby”. He is survived by his parents, Bridget and Nate Brown; siblings, Mikhaio and Miniyah; grandparents, William “Tommy” Sands, Brenda Moses and Donna Anderson; great-grand-parents, Clarice Moses and Elaine Akins; great-great grandmother, “Big Mama” Ernastine Armstrong; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Schaefer-Shipman with an Interfaith Service to follow at 6:00 pm at the Tulalip Gym. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:00 am at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Kathy Louise McCulley Kathy Louise McCulley, born April 19, 1957, died peacefully on February 14, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Michael Sheldon. Loving mother of Kandida and the late Dylan Michael. Cherished Grandma of Tyler and Kayla. Adoring aunt to Krystal. Supportive sister to Larena. She was a kidney dialysis patient of 38 years proving that it is possible to have a long prosperous life while enduring dialysis treatment. She was the definition of strong woman, mother, grandmother, teacher and mentor. Kathy loved helping other dialysis patients with the daily routine and gave advice as to how to get through the difficult times. She also loved Painting, gardening, and animals of all kinds. Her love was unconditional and endless. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. A celebration of life will be held on April 14, 2019 at 3pm at the Tulalip Gym, 6700 Totem Beach Road, Tulalip, WA 98271.

Viola Spencer was born in Arlington, WA an enrolled member from the Stillaguamish tribe. In her younger years, Viola fished the Stillaguamish Rivers. Viola enjoyed harvesting cedar to create hats and baskets. She loved crafting numerous things. Viola was helpful, calm and giving. She loved to share her gifts with everyone.

Dec. 30, 1952 – Feb, 12, 2019 Wendy Lee Aleck born December 30, 1952 in Everett, WA, to Joseph Jimicum Sr. and Mary Jane Jimicum passed away on February 12, 2019. Wendy was a nurse, preschool teacher, and worked at the bingo parlor and the Tulalip Cannery and East Point and Kodiak King Crab Cannery for many years. She loved fishing at the Stillguamish River, playing bingo, going to the casino, garage sale-ing, and second hand shopping. Wendy is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Hope Jimicum, sister, Mary Jane Davis, brother, Larry A. Jimicum, and sister, Rose Fryberg aka Tootsie. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Aleck; son, Mitchell Jimicum, daughter, Susan Jane Jimicum, son, Albert Jimicum, brother, Albert Moses, sister, Ruby Jimicum sister, Mary Ellen Tom, as well as numerous grand-children, great grand-children, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 1pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. There will be an Interfaith service at 6pm that same evening at the Tulalip Gym. Funeral services will be Monday, February 18, 2019 at 10am at the Tulalip Gym, burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery

June 28, 1931 – January 30, 2019 Raymond Robert Sheldon Sr., 87, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019. An Interfaith service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Greg Williams Court with a light dinner at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Greg Williams Court with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Brittany McGee Brittany Nicole McGee was born on October 13, 1989 to Max and Cynie (Hatch) McGee. Brittany left us to be with our dear Lord on January 26, 2019. She was a Tulalip Tribal member and lived in Tulalip, WA, her whole life. She worked for Tulalip Casino as a Receptionist and also worked for the Tulalip Resort. Brittany was on the election committee for our Tribe for 10 years. Her sons were the joy of her life. She enjoyed cheerleading, going on joy rides with her best friends and listening to their music, loved to take selfies, roller skating, texting friends and family. Brittany liked Snapchat, instagram plus Brittany was a real Jokester, playing pranks on her sister, Megan, like sending her her into the Totem store to ask the clerk if they have any (Blinker fluid) so Meg goes In there and asks and when Megan comes out Brittany is video taping her and just laughing her butt off. Megan was embarrassed and said Brittany your stupid, Brittany said she could not stop laughing about it. Brittany leaves behind her mother and father, Cynie and Max McGee; sisters, Angie (David) Ancheta, Megan (Felipe); brother, Aaron Calloway; her nephew, Kane Hatch; and her sons, Carson and Cullen Enick. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Katherine (Molly) and Donald Hatch Sr., Agnes and Carl McGee; uncle, Larry Hatch; aunts, Evelyn Cross, Donna Muir, Sally Prouty and Barbara Hatch. Visitation will be January 30, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home with an evening service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Tulalip Gym. Funeral services will be January 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Rosemary Patricia Boggess, 80, carried the name ye’stad meaning “small rose” in the Lushootseed language. She was born on August 10, 1938 in Croydon, England to George and Alice Beavers. She loved traveling and making arts and crafts with her sister Jean (Mick) Adams. She looked forward to her regula visits with Jean in her homelands of England. Rosemary was sixteen years old when she married her sweetheart Donald Boggess on July 5, 1954. She met Donald in England where he was stationed in the Army and remained married for 42 years. They had two children including the late Britt Boggess and Scott Boggess. Rosemary leaves behind seven grandchildren Jason, Tonya, Jake, Brooke, Donald, Heather and Erik. She was always amazed at the sight of her great grandchildren who brought her so much joy, Preston, Mckynzie, Cameron, Jesse, Angelica, Chance, Charlie, Patience, Skyler, Kayelynn, Myles, Elliot, Maya, Kyle, Shaelyn, Deeanna, Valarie, Nolee, and Erik Jr.

Rosemary and Don made Tulalip their home for many years. Rosemary was well known for her ability to love and care for each person she met, especially children. Her love and passion for children was exemplified when she was at work for the Marysville School District. She worked for the district for over 30 years as a speech pathologist and then as a school nurse. Children and families of Marysville and the Tulalip Tribes knew she had the best interest of their children. She attended sporting events, powwows, art festivals, concerts, fairs, stickgames, sweatlodge ceremonies and anything which connected her to a celebration of life, youth, and culture. She loved the Native American culture and enjoyed beading, crafts, baking, bargain shopping, and listening to Native stories and songs. Rosemary loved “her girls” Pixie Owyen and Nessie Hatch. She adopted additional grandkids Danika, Nate, Diana, Jeramiaha, Francis and Barbara. The Tulalip Tribes adopted her as an honorary Tulalip Tribal member.

Rosemary felt blessed to have so many family and friends who loved her. She would want you to keep going, live life to the fullest, learn new things and never give up.

Helen “Sally” Hazel Hatch-Prouty, 81, passed away January 14, 2019. She was born March 28, 1937 to Donald Hatch Sr. and Katherine Fryberg-Hatch of Tulalip, WA. Sally grew up in Tulalip, on Hermosa Beach, she spent a few years living with her Aunt Iris in Sequim, WA. She moved back to Tulalip and met Wesly and had and raised three children, Diane Charles, Audrey Charles, and Donald Charles. She also had another daughter, Mary Gates whom she blessed Pat and Ada Gates to raise. Sally worked as a cashier at the smokeshop in Tacoma, WA. She worked in the bingo deli for a few years and she also enjoyed bagging candy for the Tulalip Tribes’ Christmas. Sally leaves behind her children along with her brother, Donald Hatch Jr.; sisters, Illene (Chuck) James, Cynie (Max) McGee; 14 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine (Molly) Hatch; father, Donald Hatch Sr.; husband, Wilbur Prouty; her son, Roger Wayne Charles; brother, Larry Hatch; sisters, Evelyn Cross, Donna Muir, and Barbara Hatch; great grandson, Josiah James; and great granddaughter, Kristina Johnson. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, country music, slots, and most of all, her family, especially at Christmas time. Visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. A private evening service will be held. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church with burial following at Mission Beach Cemetery.
